SaveBone-in chicken thighs with salt, pepper, and garlic, crisped in the air fryer and pulled around 170°F. Adapted from a popular r/airfryer recipe.

Allergen tags are cooking labels. They are not medical advice.
Ingredients
- 4 / 772 g Skin-on chicken thighs
- to taste Salt
- to taste Black pepper
- to taste Garlic
Method
- Pat the thighs dry. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic. The post says salt, pepper, and garlic and does not give a measure, so that salt, pepper, and garlic are not in the count. The post is bone-in thighs with the skin on. It did not count them and did not weigh them. Four thighs is the cut used here. The post said to season them before they go into the fryer.
- Heat the air fryer to 360°F / 182°C. Set the thighs in one layer, skin side up. Cook 20 minutes. If the basket is crowded, cook the rest in a second batch. A crowded basket steams the skin.
- Flip the thighs and cook 5 minutes. Flip them again so the skin is on top. Raise the heat to 400°F / 204°C and cook about 2 minutes more, until the skin is crisp and the thickest part of a thigh reads about 170°F / 77°C. The post pulled them when the thermometer read 170°F. If a thigh is still cold in the center, give it more time. The post said the grease drips into the drawer. Leave that fat in the drawer. It is not a weighed discard, so the count keeps the raw meat and skin.
- Rest the thighs a few minutes. Four thighs is four servings, one thigh each. Leftovers keep covered in the fridge for a few days. Reheat them until the chicken is hot in the center again.
Nutrition
Kitchen estimate only, not lab-verified. Counted as 1 of 4 thighs: the skin-on chicken thighs. Salt, pepper, and garlic are to taste in the post, so they are not in the count. The post did not count the thighs and did not weigh them. Four thighs is the cut used here. The row is thigh, meat and skin, raw. One USDA thigh with skin is 193 g of meat and skin, so 4 are 772 g. That weight does not include the bone. One serving is one thigh, 193 g. The post said grease drips into the drawer. That drip is not weighed, so the raw meat and skin stay in the count. A plate that leaves the skin behind would be lower in fat. Added sugars are 0. The post did not list a sweetener.
