Guest diet / allergy swaps

Short kitchen notes for guests. A fuller gluten-free or dairy-free ingredient list, when we have one, is in the panels below.

  • No peanuts

Sunflower seed butter or almond butter (tree-nut allergen if using almond).

  • No honey / vegan

Maple syrup or agave, same weight.

  • Dairy-free chocolate

    Dairy-free dark chips.

    • United States: Dairy-free dark chips are usually in the baking aisle. The bag should say dairy-free, not only dark.
    • United Kingdom: Look for dairy free dark chocolate chips in the free-from or baking section. Dark chocolate can still contain milk.
  • Soy-free

    Soy-free chocolate chips.

  • Lower sugar

Reduce honey slightly and/or use unsweetened chips; texture will change.

  • No chickpeas
